I am a citizen and resident of the U.S.

The rightist dim bulbs of my country in the various media are always claiming that their ideas are the ones that find favor — Excuse me for, by your lights, misspeling ‘favour,’ but I am, after all, a Yank. — in the minds of most Americans. That might have been nearly true back when the Republican fielded some normal-appearing, normal-sounding candidates.

Nowadays, though, it seems that all of their prospective candidates vie to see who can sound the least sane, and the winner gets the nod! Happy times are coming up for the U.S. left.
