I have read through this article several times and I find the logic old fashioned and facile. The issues of climate change and global inequality are too serious and cannot be solved until you address energy scarcity and debt-money. Because there is energy scarcity there will never again be growth in the Annex 1 countries. And because there is debt money these countries will never again get out of debt. Financialising the commodity price rise through the city is the problem. Taxing this money will not solve it. By ignoring the underlying structural problems you mislead your readers.Actually there is some extremely good thinking going on in this field, and solid proposals for global, possibly even national, and definitely local action, based on getting out of fossil fuels and using local currencies. Finally, what you are proposing will do absolutely nothing to help poorer countries. If you want to find a beautiful way of living on this earth get out of fossil fuels, get out of debt-money, get out of export dependency and get out of the idea that we need your charity.
