Can you say brainwashing? Also read more history of Germany to see why it is where is today. Go back to over 200 years ago to Frederick the Great and his insane ideas over Germans or Prussians being the Ubermenschen. One bad line of history to have to covercome with brief interruption in 1848 for a people’s uprising which the army crushed. Not even a hint of democracy until the Weimar Republic. Do also look up the secret courts or lynch mobs which once dealt out the roughest of punishment with no due process in the least.

When a society accepts such madness for over 150 years, it’s tough to bring about reform. Many Germans are good people but the system has for too long been no help.
