They had no right to be there, if they didn’t wish to be evicted they could have left months or years earlier.

The situation with the lack of proper integrated provision at all levels for Travelling People, by Councils and their ‘partner’ agencies, is just as corrupt as the deliberate policy of allowing perfectly serviceable domestic properties to be systematically run into the ground by corrupt landlords of all kinds. Councils have been given adequate powers to deal with such social problems in a sensible and community friendly fashion. The fact that they choose not to is rooted in the corruption and self interest that permeates every nook and cranny of the political mainstream, at local and national level, during this particular period in history. It is all about the deliberate and willful abuse of power combined with the cynical manipulation of over inflated property prices right the way across the board.

The nations who form the Council of Europe are supposed to uphold the UN Human rights declaration but not all of them do so.
Emerging nations are frequently found wanting and established countries like Italy,France and Spain harass minorities like the Roma.The new French administration was admonished only last month for conducing forced evictions.
The general assembly of Ministers -of which GB was in the chair – met in Brighton in June but this country held a dark secret.They had engineered a forced eviction at incredible expense with the cooperation of the police and a Tory Council of Basildon.
