		<description><![CDATA[However great their triumph, and it is indeed great, I very much doubt if Syriza will be able to form a stable government but what&#039;s far more interesting is Mr Illiopoulos&#039;s refusal to call for Greece to abandon the euro or to attack the EU. I have a sneaking suspicion that that was what Mr Nunns was hoping he&#039;d do! But in fact Mr Illiopoulos&#039;s view is essentailly the view of most young Europeans. They want more EU and a better EU, not a return to the squabbling statelets of the 1930s, which Hitler was able to pick off one by one. Similar views was expressed by the Spanish &quot;Indignados&quot; and there is no sign whatsoever of hostility to the EU or the euro in the enormously successful German Pirate Party.
At age 63, I&#039;m immensly impressed by the young generation of Europeans. The future will be built by the young, not elderly pipedreamers still stuck in the 1950s. As we say in Ireland, more power to their elbows!]]></description>
