		<description><![CDATA[Sorry, but miscarriages of justice in the UK are now very uncommon (apart from terrorist offences) which is why this article cannot provide any evidence. It is all made up of oblique references and innuendo, not substance. There are many things wrong with the criminal justice system, and the proposed cuts in legal aid will no doubt open the door to miscarriages in the future because the system is only as good as its defence lawyers. But it does no one any favours – particularly the Left – to hype up a story. People end up not trusting anything we say. Yes the Criminal Cases Review Commission turns down 96% of cases, but this is not because the CCRC is not diligent. Most of the cases submitted have no basis or are ‘trying it on’.]]></description>
