Library funding should be cut. Few people use them these days. The internet has taken over as the premier source of information in our society today and I don’t see that trend changing any time soon! Even if we weren’t in a recession the funding should be cut, libraries are like sinking ships in giant whirlpools and no love should be lost in their downfall.

Just to let you know that we found out last week that the Doncaster Council is now proposing to close 14 out of 26 libraries, rather than the three as originally planned. We’re still battling against it! The next event’s a Read-In on 26th Jan at Central Library, 1-3pm.
