Great to hear of the new left councillors in Wales - who seem to be facing even harsher cuts than London/UK authorities.I do hope the banner of No Cuts - Set A Needs Budget will be raised on several Welsh councils.

However it is odd to hear Islington Council in London identified as a council 'defending its communities'.In fact the Council has cut over 500 jobs and slashed £52million to date from service budgets ( source Islington Council website). In order to build a case for voting for these redundancies and to justify their refusal to fight for no cuts ,a number of soft left Islington Labour Party members and councillors such as Charlynne Pullen have explained that the Fairness Commission(sic) will ensure these cuts/redundancies are fair.As a means of retaining a good night's sleep for councillors who have convinced themselves that they are 'resisting' teh government thsi may be useful but the effect on working-class people who depend on the Council services is the same - they are being ruthlessly cut at the behest of the Tories.

What left even the BBC cannot stop hammering the poor the sick the disabled , I just watched a program about an area of Wales Merthyr again being hit for being lazy work less and work shy.

Good education is needed said the local Councilor get a good education and you can get a job in the fish and chip shop at £10 a day.

We are now in what has to be a depression made by mainly politicians and bankers who both worked out the best way of money making is see no evil do a lot of evil

I'm sick of being told I'm basically work shy or a scrounger I have never been out of work in my life until my accident, 32 years and now all of a sudden I'm the baddie
