Banks are only banks because we recognise them as such and in doing so accept their promises. We need to spread Credit Unions, grass root models and peoples' banks. Banking is about safeguarding individuals money. We dont need HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds. Lets replace the banks with Peoples Banks and Credit Unuions. We can do it if enough of us unite. There is a sea of outrage at the banks who one way or the other rip us off.The time is ripe.

More sensible monetary systems have been developed in the past and all were quashed. It is my belief that Qaddafi finally fell foul of the power brokers because he had the temerity to set a gold backed African dinar in motion. For those who believe money is necessary Bit coin shows promise but my real favourite possibility is this one.

I have felt for many years that we need a Plan B to replace the existing financial system. I can't undertsand why we don't develop debt free finacial models as was successfully done in the 1930's in the community of Worgel in Germany. It worked, provided security for everyone and could be linked to the credit union ideas, post office etc etc.

Of course the central bank and government decided to make it illegal so that was the end of that one!

However now that we are in an even bigger "fix" arguably we should be retruning to this idea. The Swiss currently run a debt free system called the Wir and they have some half a million customers. It's recession proof.
