  • ActionAid
    ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency working to support community groups, national alliances and international networks seeking education for all, trade justice and action against HIV/AIDS throughout the world.
  • Baby Milk Action
    Baby Milk Action aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding.
  • Centro de Assessoria e Estudos Urbanos
    CIDADE is an NGO working for the empowerment of grassroots movements with research on urban reform policies and democratic local budget processes. It has worked on participatory budgeting in Porto Alegre since 1994 to empower people to participate in decision-making and develop their collective self-governing capacities.
  • Center for Third World Organising
    CTWO is a 25-year-old training and resource centre that promotes and sustains direct-action organizing in communities of colour in the United States.
  • Corporate Europe Observatory
    A research and campaign group exposing the threats to democracy, equity, social justice and the environment in the EU posed by corporate power and lobbying.
  • Grassroots Global Justice
    An alliance of 60 US-based grassroots groups who are organising to build an agenda for power for working and poor people. It works to link local issues to global struggles, to develop the leadership of people of colour and low-income communities, to use popular and political education, to carry out joint actions, and to create convergence of struggles as movement building strategies.
  • Global Exchange
    An international non-profit human rights organisation aimed at forging closer ties between North Americans and grassroots groups working for democracy and social justice around the world.
  • Indigenous Environmental Network
    A network of Indigenous Peoples empowering Indigenous Nations and communities towards sustainable livelihoods, demanding environmental justice and maintaining the Sacred Fire of their traditions. This group was involved in organising the US Social Forum and is also involved in pulling together an environmental/social justice coalition in Canada.
  • Trade Justice Movement
    Includes trade unions, aid agencies, environment and human rights campaigns, fairtrade organisations, faith and consumer groups.
  • War on Want (WoW)
    Long-standing, membership-based organisation campaigning for policy changes in the UK to help eradicate poverty in the developing world. WoW current campaigns include work on corporate accountability, trade justice, privatization, Palestine and Western Sahara.
  • World Development Movement (WDM)
    A democratic, membership-based movement with over 100 local groups working in partnership with other organisations to tackle the underlying causes of world poverty. It current campaigns on climate change, water justice, trade and debt policy.
