    Airportwatch campaigns for corporate and environmental accountability in the air transport industry.
  • Child Poverty Action Group CPAG promotes action for the relief, directly or indirectly, of poverty among children and families with children.
  • Community Matters
    The nation-wide federation for community associations and similar organisations, with over 1,000 member organisations. Community Matters promotes and supports action by ordinary people in response to social, educational and recreational needs in their neighbourhoods and communities.
  • Community Recycling Network
    A non-profit organsiation of 300+ members promoting community waste management nationally as an effective way of tackling both Britain’s growing waste problem and building the social economy. Superb links to other recycling, environmental and community groups and networks.
  • Defend Council Housing
    A broad-based national campaign supported by a large number of tenants, council workers and unions, community organisations and campaign groups opposing privatisation and defending council housing principles.
  • Keep Our NHS Public
    Links together health care workers, trade unionists and members of the public in a campaign to stop the piecemeal privatisation of the NHS.
  • MERCi
    ‘Murky’ is an independent charity working to make Manchester a greener, safer, healthier and more equitable place to live. It is based in Bridge-5 Mill, redeveloped to be the most environmentally friendly building in Manchester.
  • NHS Support Federation
    Independent campaign to protect and promote a comprehensive NHS, with equitable access and active public involvement.
  • National Pensioners Convention
    The National Pensioners Convention (NPC) acts as an umbrella body for pensioners’ groups throughout the UK .The NPC currently has over 250 affiliates and hundreds of individual supporters.
  • Radical Routes
    A network of independent housing cooperatives providing each other with services and support, and able to raise investment centrally through a national investment scheme. Website has contact details for local cooperatives.
  • Shelter
    Shelter is a national organisation with local solutions working to improve the lives of homeless and badly housed people.
  • Socialist Health Association
    ’The Socialist Health Association promotes health and well-being and the eradication of inequalities, in the UK and worldwide, through the application of socialist principles to society and government. Its members believe that these objectives can best be achieved through collective rather than individual action.’
  • UK Coalition Against Poverty
    ’Formed in 1996, the Coalition Against Poverty exists to enable people who experience poverty in the UK to play an active part in developing national policies for the eradication of poverty. We were re-formed in May 2003 after successfully receiving a 3 year grant from the Community Fund with support from many anti-poverty organisations across the UK.’
